Surgical Treatments

At Q eye clinic we exclusively focus on the eyelids, tear ducts and surrounding structures. We perform many different surgical procedures to improve their appearance and function.

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Age-related changes to the upper eyelid can lead to hooded upper eyelid appearance and in many cases can affect vision. This is usually caused by the presence of excessive skin and fat (dermatochalasis) which can be improved by targeted removal or repositioning of the skin, muscle and fat resulting in a rejuvenated appearance.

Droopy Eyelid (Ptosis) Surgery

Droopy upper eyelids occurs when the actual position of the upper lid is low which can give rise to a tired appearance. Surgical correction involves the selective tightening of the elevating eyelid muscle.

Eye Bag Surgery (Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty)

Lower eyelid bags frequently can lead to a tired appearance which is commonly due to visible prominence of the lower lid fat pockets. By removing or repositioning these fat pockets can improve the contour and result in a more youthful appearance.

Eyelid Lump Removal

Many different skin lumps appear on or around the eyelids. Common benign lumps include chalazion, fatty deposits (Xanthelasma) and skin cysts.

Watery Eye Surgery

Watery eyes can severely affect a person’s quality of life and one of the commonest causes is as a result of blockages of the tear outflow passageway. Depending on the location of any blockage, surgery can be performed to relieve these symptoms.
